My name is Kea Modise-Moloto and I am the founder of the Christian Women Business Network. I have always been a cheerleader and advocate for women and their success. Before I knew God intimately I was dedicated to teaching women to understand that their power lies in knowing their uniqueness.
In 2016, I found myself in a dark space, a valley I did not understand how I landed in. There was a voice calling for my life, carefully instructing me to search for strategies to end my life. The voice also told me that God did not want me...how could He allow my situation if He loved me? The activities that unfolded in my life were painful and evil. It seemed there were physical forces at work to destroy my life and tarnish my reputation. I was at war with the voice calling for my life while striving to remain standing when existing in the world was killing my Spirit, spitting me out and there was nothing I could do to change or control the situation. Being a mother to a lovely daughter stopped me from responding to that voice and committing suicide. I could not exit her life in such a painful way and course her pain she will be unable to ever overcome.
So I stayed alive and had to learn to ignore the voice.
While in that valley, I was invited to a Women's Prayer Group that met every Wednesday at my Church. At this Prayer Group I congregated with women that were strangers committed to one another's well being. These women that I did not know, who did not know me, nursed me back to health and back to myself only through prayer and the love they had for me as a fellow child of God. They saw me, took me and loved me as one of their own.
From this I knew that women need a space where they can feel safe, be vulnerable and know that they are not alone in order to heal, feel whole and be confident. I learnt through my own experience, that when we know that we are supported and loved without judgement and reservation - we thrive.
The Christian Women Business Network was established and launched on 29 April 2017 to create a safe space for business and career women to connect, learn, empower, support each other towards thriving business and Spiritual lives.
